Terms & Conditions


By confirming your order with Sugar Mouse Bakery, you are accepting the terms and conditions herewith. Please make time to check your order confirmation for any errors or amendments. 



Due to their fragile nature, all our our cakes are delivered by myself.

I offer a FREE local delivery service for orders within a 5 miles range of BH10, Dorset. 

Extra milage is charged @£1 per mile thereafter.

Alternatively, you can collect your cake order from me directly. I will help you put the cake in your own car ready for transport.

Any damage to a cake once it has left the bakery will be at the customer's own risk.



Wedding cakes that need setting up, I offer setting up service as part of the price. 

I will carefully set up the cake at your chosen venue for maximum display impact.

I will also fully assemble any delicate items that were separately packaged in transit.

Once the cake has been set up, Sugar Mouse Bakery takes no responsibility for the cake's welfare thereafter. It is down to the client/venue for the responsibility of the cake.


I am a small bespoke home bakery and I do all I can to accommodate our customers.

Cakes require a minimum lead time of at least two weeks, so please ensure that you allow plenty of time to place your order and secure your personal time slot. I reserve the right to reasonably adjust any agreed design at time of decorating to maximise the final result. 



I kindly require an immediate deposit to be paid of £50 to secure your slot, with the final balance to be paid no later than 14 days before delivery and any orders placed within 14 days of delivery are required to be paid for in full at the time of ordering. 

No customer order or time slot can be confirmed nor processed until the appropriate payment is received in cleared funds to Sugar Mouse Bakery within the time schedule clearly shown above, therefore Sugar Mouse Bakery reserve the right to cancel any order or time slot without further liability to me if the appropriate payment is not received at the time of ordering. I accept payments as cash and on-line bank transfer. Sorry, but I do not accept credit cards, cheques. Receipts will be given after payment has cleared.



All celebration cake orders that have been paid in full or with a deposit that you wish to cancel up to 14 days before delivery will be refunded in full. Any cancellations made less than 14 days before delivery will be refunded 50% of any paid monies.

Any cancellations made 5 days before delivery will NOT be refunded. 


All wedding cake orders that have been paid in full or with a deposit are fully refundable up to 3 months before the delivery date. All cancelations less than 3 months before delivery will be refunded 50% of the monies paid to Sugar Mouse Bakery. Cancellations made less than 14 days before delivery are NOT refundable.

I strongly recommend to customers in taking out a wedding cake insurance policy to cover cancellations for very high value wedding cakes



Any alterations to the cake design and/or flavours can be considered up to 14 days before delivery but may incur additional charges. Changes to the delivery date can be considered and any monies paid can be transferable usually without extra charge where possible but should we be unable to accommodate your new dates then your order shall be considered as cancelled by us and therefore subject to our Terms of a cancellation by the customer.



Every effort is made to meet all customer orders so cancellations by Sugar Mouse Bakery would only be necessary as a result of a dire emergency, sickness, severe weather, power failure, or any other reasonable cause or causes completely beyond our control. In which case our liability to you the customer is only limited on any order as being up to and including a full refund of any monies paid if we are at any time up to and including the delivery date be unable to provide your order.  No other costs or expenses incurred by the customer will be considered liable to be paid to the customer by Sugar Mouse Bakery in any event caused by our cancellation. 



In the unlikely event of any problem or complaint PLEASE KINDLY INFORM US IMMEDIATELY in order that we can offer assistance. Cakes subject to a complaint must be returned to us within 24 hours in order that we can assess the nature of the problem. Our liability to you extending only to a maximum of a full refund to the value of the cake order. We are not liable for further compensation or expenses incurred by the customer in the event of an order returned.  



We wish to advise our customers that although our products do not contain nuts unless stated at time of ordering, we do NOT work in a nut free environment.



Our products contain dairy, unless you have requested a dairy free cake.



Our products contain gluten.
